How we make money

Affiliate Disclosure

We earn money in a few clearly-disclosed ways so we can pay editors, ship subscription boxes, and keep the lights on. Here’s the whole picture.

Editorial independence

Everything we recommend, we recommend because we believe it earns the recommendation. We don’t accept payment in exchange for coverage, and we don’t tailor editorial lists to brands we earn on. If a dispensary, hotel, restaurant, or beverage brand shows up in our editorial content, it’s because we think it’s good — not because they’re paying us.

That said, when our recommendations overlap with a brand we happen to have an affiliate or direct-partner relationship with, we route outbound links through a tracked redirect (/r/{slug}) so we earn a small commission if you book or buy. This is standard publishing practice, and it’s the primary way independent food and travel publications stay independent. Below is every relationship we have, disclosed in plain English.

What each relationship means

  • Direct Partner: Direct partner (flat-fee referral relationship)
  • Affiliate: Affiliate link (we earn a commission when you buy)
  • Sponsored: Sponsored placement (paid to appear)
  • Non Commercial: Informational link (no compensation — licensed directory, regulator, etc.)

Every partner we work with

This list is generated from our live database. If we add or remove a partner, it updates here automatically.

We don’t currently have any active affiliate or partner relationships. When we do, they’ll be listed here.

This disclosure is provided in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). Cannabis product coverage is editorial only and never routed through an affiliate; we follow New York State cannabis-advertising regulations and avoid health or therapeutic claims in all content.
