Public Garden Swan Boats 2026 Season

The Swan Boats reopen in mid-April 2026 and run through mid-September on the lagoon at the Public Garden — a Boston tradition since 1877, still operated by the same family in the fourth generation. 15-minute glide through the garden under the willow trees. Best mid-week, mid-morning, before the families arrive. Adults 21+ visiting from out of state should know cannabis is prohibited on the Public Garden (state-managed land); sealed product fine to carry, consumption is for the rental afterward.
