What to expect
Free outdoor movie nights on Friday evenings, late July through August, on the Esplanade's iconic Hatch Memorial Shell — the same stage as the July 4 Pops. BYO blanket, food trucks on hand, screening starts at sundown. Family-leaning programming but the post-sundown vibe is broadly welcome. Adults 21+ should consume only in private; the Esplanade is state DCR land where public cannabis consumption is prohibited.
